How we turn uncertain game-development questions into testable decisions and accountable editorial guidance

Crafted Games Studios publishes field notes for small game teams and players who want to understand how production decisions are made. Our method begins with a concrete task, checks current primary documentation, adds a worked scenario, identifies trade-offs, and ends with an action that can be verified.

Every guide starts with a decision

We do not select a topic because a phrase is available to rank. A useful brief names the reader, their situation, the decision or problem, the immediate answer, the evidence required, likely failure points, and the next action. Closely related queries belong on one canonical page when they share that need.

Evidence has labels

Official engine, platform, store, accessibility, privacy, and web documentation is preferred for factual requirements. A hypothetical example is labelled as an example. Editorial judgment is presented as judgment, not a universal rule. We do not invent first-hand tests, credentials, products, awards, quotes, or release dates.

The five-part publication gate

  1. Localization: the intended language, platform context, units, and availability are explicit.
  2. Verifiability: material claims link to primary or authoritative sources.
  3. Concrete case: every guide contains a scenario, worked sequence, or evidence model.
  4. Editorial judgment: the conclusion explains fit, trade-offs, and limits.
  5. Responsibility: the Editorial Desk owns review and corrections.

Images and provenance

The launch illustrations were generated specifically for this publication and then edited into distinct article assets. They are explanatory editorial visuals, not screenshots of real games or evidence of a shipped product. We retain master files and record their use in the project asset inventory.

Corrections

If a source changes or a guide contains an error, contact server@craftedgamestudios.com with the URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. See the full editorial and corrections policy.
